Various provisions of the Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014 published on 22 September 2014 in Government Gazette No. 38022 will be enacted shortly following the publication of the South African Legal Practice Council Rules under Government Notice 401 in Government Gazette 4178 published on 20 July 2018 and the scheduled termination of the National Forum on the Legal Profession.
The Act has implications for the legal profession as a whole as well as for Clients and the manner in which they interact with the legal profession.
